Bengal Tiger Carpet ~ Blue & White Stripe

I am head over heels with these incredible tiger carpets that I found during my travels to India. Each carpet is made by hand by skilled artisans in Kashmir, the most northern part of India. Using a technique called chainstitch, colourful pure wool yarn is stitched by hook through cotton. Each carpet takes up to two months to complete. 

We are stocking these beautiful carpets in a selection of bold colours in very small quantities. This one is a bold blue tiger with black stripe on a light blue and white striped background - my personal favourite!
