Handwoven Ikat Table Runner ~ various colours
These incredible table runners were made from the same group of indigenous women in the Highlands of Guatemala, that are also weaving our popular baskets. Entirely handwoven on the traditional backstrap loom by weavers in Sololá, this unique runner features indigo stripes with a maiz jaspe (ikat) design. Maiz, or corn, is the most important crop for the Maya people, the very gift of life from Mother Earth to her children.
The table runner can also be used as a double placemat on the table. Available in four natural muted shades, it has a hand-twisted fringe and pairs beautifully with our handwoven napkins and tassel napkin cords.
